Jakarta, May 16th, 2024 – A global leader in water solutions, Viessmann Climate Solutions, proudly announces the release of its latest product, the Vitopure S2-2G Water Treatment Station, designed specifically for Indonesian water conditions. This new system aims to provide clean and safe water, ensuring the health and well-being of families across the country. With a focus on sustainability and excellence, Viessmann continues to lead the way in water treatment technology, making a positive impact on the community.

"One of the challenges faced in the provision of clean water in Indonesia is the quality of raw water that has not met the standards due to pollution by domestic and industrial waste, therefore water management technology is needed to improve water quality," said Nusa Idaman Said, Principal Expert Researcher from the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN).

Indonesia grapples with a pressing water pollution crisis, as evidenced by data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), which reported instances of water pollution in 10,683 villages in 2021 alone. Even in the capital, Jakarta, the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) highlights that 45% of groundwater stands are contaminated by harmful bacteria, a consequence of excessive groundwater extraction and industrial activities. This dire situation underscores the urgent need for effective water treatment solutions.

“Recognizing the urgency of the situation, Viessmann introduces the Vitopure S2-2G, tailored to address the specific needs and challenges faced by Indonesian households. We are thrilled to introduce the Vitopure S2-2G Water Treatment Station to the Indonesian market, demonstrating our commitment to providing clean and safe water solutions. Our innovative solution considers factors such as water quality variations and regional contaminants, ensuring optimal performance and reliability,” said Richard Chua, Head of Sales Southeast Asia, Viessmann Climate Solutions.

Continuing the discussion on water filtration innovation, Nusa added, "Water filtration technology varies. For example, chemical precipitation, conventional filtration such as the use of sand and activated carbon, and membrane filtration which uses more advanced technology than conventional water filters. Membranes have very small pores, so they can filter out much smaller particles, including bacteria, viruses, and dissolved metals. The choice of technology needs to be tailored to the characteristics of the water to be treated."

Equipped with an advanced four-stage filtration system, the Vitopure S2-2G is capable of reducing turbidity by 95% and coliform by 99%* depending on the quality of the water source and real flow rate. This system effectively removes contaminants and improves water quality, making it safe for household usage.

“The Vitopure S2-2G is designed to purify different water sources, offering a comprehensive solution to Indonesia's water challenges. This system incorporates a dual-layer quartz sand configuration to efficiently intercept and remove large solids, sediments, algae, and moss. Additionally, an additional layer of garnet effectively blocks smaller particles and worm eggs, ensuring thorough water purification. Activated carbon further enhances the quality of treated water by absorbing color, odor, and chlorine,” explained Rainer Jeremiah, Product Management Specialist, PT. Aditya Sarana Graha, the official distributor of Viessmann Climate Solutions in Indonesia.

Offered at Rp9,900,000.-, the Vitopure S2-2G is equipped with UV light technology, providing an additional layer of protection to guarantee clean and safe water for families, alleviating concerns regarding water consumption. This model is part of Viessmann's comprehensive Vitopure water purifier lineup, which includes six series: S1, S2, S3, S4, S5, and S6. Each series boasts unique features tailored for various household needs, such as washing, showering, and drinking, and is offered in both electric and non-electric versions.

Viessmann solidified its commitment to Southeast Asia with the launch of the Vitopure S2-2G and the establishment of a new production facility in Vietnam. Since April 2021, Viessmann has been dedicating itself to enhancing water solutions in the region. The new facility underscores Viessmann's dedication to meeting market demands, improving product quality, and promoting sustainable practices.
