Vitocell –– cylinders for every requirement
As well as space heating, domestic hot water also contributes to the comfort of a home. There are various methods of providing warm or hot water. In addition to decentralised heating of water via an instantaneous water heater or DHW cylinder, the entire building can be supplied with DHW via the central heating system. Provided there is a DHW cylinder. For this purpose, Viessmann offers a wide range of products to adapt to individual user needs. This is because, in addition to the number of people living in a building and the associated DHW consumption, numerous other factors also play a role; such as space requirements or options for DHW heating via a solar thermal system.
But in addition to DHW cylinders for hot water for washing up or showering, the Viessmann Vitocell product range also includes buffer cylinders. As the name suggests, a heating water buffer cylinder holds heating water that is not used at the time of heating and is stored temporarily.
The following models are available in the Vitocell range of cylinders:
- Vitocell 300-B
- Vitocell 100-B
- Vitocell 100-U
- Vitocell 360-M
- Vitocell 320-M
- Vitocell 160-E
- Vitocell 140-E
- Vitocell 120-E
- Vitocell 100-E
Viessmann Vitocell DHW cylinders
Viessmann DHW cylinders in the Vitocell product range have at least energy efficiency class B as standard. Selected models are even assigned to efficiency classes A or A+. This is achieved by thermally insulating the DHW cylinders with an additional vacuum panel among other things. In this way, heat losses are reduced even further, also reducing energy costs.
Viessmann Vitocell cylinders can be distinguished according to various criteria. For example, in the case of DHW cylinders, there are the 100 and 300 product series. They differ mainly with regard to the materials that come into contact with the DHW. We use high quality steel with a Ceraprotect enamel coating for the Vitocell 100-V, 100-W, 100-H and 100-L products. This means that the cylinder is particularly well protected against corrosion and therefore occupies a leading position on the market. The Vitocell 300-V and 300-H, on the other hand, use stainless steel that meets the highest hygiene requirements. That is why the stainless steel cylinders in the Vitocell 300 series come with a 10 year guarantee against leaks caused by corrosion.
Depending on the available space, Viessmann offers a choice between vertical and horizontal Vitocell models. The former include the Vitocell 300-V and 100-V. The Vitocell 100-W is ideal for wall mounted appliances. The 300-H and 100-H models are horizontal cylinders and the gas or oil condensing boiler can be installed on top.
Special feature: Vitocell 100-L cylinder for DHW systems with cylinder loading system
Particularly in large buildings, such as hotels, schools or indoor swimming pools, the Vitocell 100-L is worthwhile. This model works in combination with a cylinder loading system that combines storage and flow systems. The combination enables large amounts of water to be drawn off in a short time, which means that short-term consumption peaks can be accommodated.
Dual mode Vitocell DHW cylinders
In addition to the above-mentioned cylinders, Viessmann also offers dual mode DHW cylinders. These are Vitocell models that provide DHW using two different heat sources. Two heat generators can be connected to them. In most cases, a solar thermal system is used along with a condensing boiler. To ensure that this works effectively and with as little heat loss as possible, Vitocell 300-B, 100-B and 100-U are equipped with two large indirect coils. These ensure an even heat-up.
Heating water buffer cylinders
The Vitocell 140-E, 160-E, 120-E and 100-E models are heating water buffer cylinders that store thermal energy temporarily for later use. This heat can be used either for central heating or for DHW heating by means of a freshwater module. The Vitocell 340-M and 360-M models also have an integral DHW heating system. All models can be combined with multiple heat generators and can therefore be used flexibly to meet a wide range of requirements.
